These are some frequently asked questions I get in regards to the Terms of Use and NQ Designs in general. If the answer to your question isn't listed here, then please contact me to send me your question.

How many people run this site?

Only one, Nika. I run NQ Designs all by my wittle self. Nika, Neoqueenfifilala, and NQ are all nicknames for mua.

Will you teach me HTML?

Hell no! Go google some tutorials like the rest of us. I'll help with a certain code but I will not teach you the whole thing. I'm not wonder woman!

What's your neopets screen name?

nika_fifilala is my main account. It used to be neoqueenfifilala but sadly I have forgotten the password T_T or rather I've forgotten the fake birthday date I made up when I created that account. *Sigh* Why must neopets make life so difficult? I have other accounts but they're only there to code userlookups and guild layouts.

How did you learn HTML so quickly?

*Gasp* I didn't learn HTML quickly at all. It took a really looong time for me to acquire this much knowledge of HTML, and frankly there's still a lot I have yet to learn. I learned from reading up on a ton of tutorials and HTML-help guides. Also while trying to run a guild and a website I ended up learning a lot through trial and error. After a while, I memorized most HTML codes. But I certainly did NOT learn HTML overnight. I started teaching myself HTML in 2001 when I created my first guild. I started NQ Designs 3 years ago in 2005. You do the math. If you are really that interested in how I learned HTML, read My History. It explains the gist of it.

How do you make your layouts?

I always plan out the designs of my layouts first. They rarely come out the way I plan because I tend to think up over-the-top layouts that are way too impractical to code, but it's a good start and it's a great way to get all my ideas down before I forget them. I always draw out my designs on paper first. I have a huge stack of old sketches in my desk drawers that I used as "blueprints" for some of my older layouts. I know, I'm a dork. Then I proceeed to recreate the same design on Paint Shop Pro 8.0. I'm addicted to layers so my designs usually consist of at least 40 layers, it makes changes a lot easier and more flexible. My trademark designs are always heavily vectored, I only use brushes as a finishing touch. When I'm finally happy with the design, I code them with HTML and CSS Styles. The coding part is the most time-consuming. All in all, most of my more complicated designs take days to finish, some special ones take up to a week or longer.

Will you make me a custom layout/graphic?

No never, ever, so never ever ask me again. Why, you ask? Because, and I can't stress this enough, I don't have the time to make custom graphics for everyone who comes along. So please don't waste my time or yours by making one of these requests. I'd be glad to hear your suggestions though, I almost always follow through with my visitor's suggestions.

Are you looking for any staff?

No, not at the moment. Although it would be nice to have an extra hand to help me make more updates more frequently but I'm way too unorganized and spastic to handle a staff right now. Maybe in the future, but for now, I'm happy running NQ Designs alone.

Can you add more _________ layouts/graphics?

Sure, send your requests via the contact form, and if I like your request then I will do it. However if it's a request for a neopets layout then the answer is no.

Will you ever start making neopets layouts again?

As of right now, the possibility of that happening is slim. I'm not really interested in neopets anymore therefore I take no pleasure in creating neopets userlookup or guild layouts. Call it me "growing up" but right now I'm more interested in implementing more generic designs onto the site so in the coming months you will begin to see even less new anime stuff added to the site.

Where are the MP3 Downloads?

They're gone. I will no longer be providing free mp3 downloads because it is illegal to distribute mp3s without the consent of the artist and I don't have the consent of the artists. Sorry folks. Not only that, it's a pain in the ass having to find reliable places to host those large mp3 files. And besides I fear that the mp3 downloads were taking away from the fact NQ Designs is a graphics/tutorial site NOT a music store.

Where are the MP3 Codes?

I've decided to discontinue the mp3 codes because of the difficult issue of finding relaible places to upload the mp3s. They take up a considerably large amount of disk space and even more bandwidth which costs me money that I don't have.

Why isn't this download/code working?

It's probably because I've exceeded the bandwidth on the server which hosts that download or there is something wrong with the site where I hosted that download. Most likely I have yet to notice that there is a problem, therefore if you spot any broken downloads/links/images from the site then please Contact me and let me know. I'll be sure to fix the problem as soon as possible.

How do you show your affiliates' hits like the ones on your "links out" page?

You don't understand how many times I get this question. Listen folks! There's a very explicit PHP tutorial on this site that explains in full detail how to create a click counter which is what I use to show my affiliates' number of hits. Why was I removed from your affiliates/link exchange?

You were probabaly removed because you removed me from your affiliates and/or link exchange list. Either that or your site has been down or on hiatus for an extremely long time and I just figured that your site is dead now. However I'd be happy to re-add you. Just fill out the forms here.
