| Here you can find some free manga downloads. They were scanlated from various sites. That means that they were scanned and then translated to english. Just click on the link to download and it will take you to a page where you can download the chapters. Here I will only offer downloads of the first volume of each manga series. I will not offer the entire collection since most of these mangas have become licensed sinced they've been scanlated. These downloads are for sampling purposes only. If you find a manga here that you particularly enjoyed reading and you would like to read more of it, I suggest you buy the manga or search for downloads of the remaining volumes at Gotlurk.net. Most, if not all of these scanlations are shoujo. Shoujo (show-joe) means "girl" in Japanese, and it usually refers to school girl stories about love and romance, and tends to get kinda soap-operaish. In contrast to action-oriented shonen (boys') manga, shoujo manga ruminate on themes of emotion, love, identity, and responsibility that often play out internally. (Hehehe, I got that little quote from Shojo Beat). So if you're not into shoujo, you've come to the wrong place.
